PTO Drive Gearbox
These gearboxes are designed for high HP (horsepower) tractors to lower the rpm (rotations per minute) of the tractor engine. We carry curved jaw couplers in metric sizes. If you need metric on one side and a standard inch size on the other for running water pumps or fans, or other equipment that requires standard size, We can help you get the proper LoveJoy style coupler.
4.5 Gearbox Description
- Requires 1.6 liters of 80 to 140 wt. gear oil; this is like rear end gear oil for a car (do not overfill, it will come out of the vent on top).
- Oil is not pre-installed in the gearbox.
- 400 to 1800 rpm rated for equipment requiring 40hp (horsepower) continuous, 50hp standby
- Tractor can be rated for more than 40hp or less than 40hp for generators up to 30kw continuous 40kw standby
- 1 3/8 inch six spline input shaft
- 32mm smooth keyed output shaft
- Output shaft turns in opposite direction from input shaft
